Take the
Laterlife Challenge and
have the Time of Your Life in Retirement!

Spirit of the 60s

And finally it’s time to bring some more of that energy and vigour for adventure and change you had back in the 50s and 60s into your plans for today and tomorrow!

How did you spend the 50s or 60s? What was in your mind then? What were the defining moments? What special moments or ideas do you want to remember and bring into your life today?

Did you believe we could change the world? Where is that spirit now? At last we’ve got the time as well as the knowledge and experience to do something important. Maybe changing the world is a bit of a jump but what about starting with the country or even your locality. From little acorns….

How about getting together with others as part of the Challenge and leave the world slightly better in some way for our kids than when we started?

Or maybe you just want to party and re-live the good times - it could be a trip to a 60s concert (there are plenty around the UK with some of the original names such as ‘The Searchers’ and ‘Gerry and the Pacemakers’) - or it could be a ‘re-live the 60s party’ – perhaps a chance to reunite old friends.

Or maybe none of this is for you. What was special to you back then that you would like to repeat or bring into your life again?

Like everything in the Challenge it’s your ideas and imagination that count!

Your ideas

These are just a few thoughts; we want to hear about what you (or someone you know) are doing that reflects the Spirit of the 60s, whatever they may be.

Or if you are just getting going we want to encourage encourage you to use your imagination.

What next?

The Challenge is all about sharing our ideas, so we would like you to tell us about people you know (including yourself) and examples of what they or you are doing in retirement which may help to inspire others.

Also read the general notes about who can take the Challenge

You and they can win some great prizes.

Read about other activities you might be doing or thinking of doing as part of  the Challenge?
