Planning Retirement Online

Your Chance to star!

August 2013

A TV production company has asked us to help spread the word about its search for retired people to join shopping star Mary Portas in a new series for Channel 4.

Plum Pictures are currently filming the series which is aimed to challenge ageism. They are hoping the series will help challenge the idea that once people retire they belong to the scrapheap!

As part of the show they have set up a pop-up recruitment agency purely for retired people to prove that the skills and experiences a person has gained throughout their life do not suddenly vanish with retirement.

Right now for the show Plum Pictures are especially looking for retired entertainers such as musicians, comedians, dancers, or people with any other performance skills.

They want to bring together a group of retired people together for a variety style TV performance to showcase that older people can offer skills and have untapped potential for the workforce.

The details are below; and if you do decide to take part, do please let us know. We would love to know how you get on.

ARE YOU A RETIRED ENTERTAINER?

DO YOU MISS THE BUZZ OF GOING TO WORK,
THE SOCIAL INTERACTION OR MAYBE
THE EXTRA CASH?

New Channel 4 series wants to hear from retired Entertainers and Performers.

Dancers, Musicians, Singers, Comedians, Impersonators, and Variety Performers; any skill in entertaining is desired.

Whether you performed as a career or as a hobby we want to hear from everyone!

If you would you like the opportunity to put your skills and life experience back to work in a one off event and earn some extra money please contact us at theagency@plumpictures.co.uk  or call 0207 184 7794.

Be quick though as lists are closing mid August.
