Planning Retirement Online

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY LATERLIFE

September 2019

If you have only recently become involved in Laterlife.com you may be surprised that we have been going for 20 years.

Yes, in 1999 our founder Tony Clack was well ahead of the game when he started this wide reaching online organisation. At this time, the internet was still fairly basic. Online social groups and networking had hardly started; online magazines were mainly vague ideas in publishers’ eyes; and the big ideas of online businesses were bursting all around us during the collapse of the “internet bubble”.

Starting a new online service at such an inauspicious time was a major risk, but Tony knew he had identified a real need to inform, help and entertain a new group of young minded people approaching or already into retirement.

It was the time of radical change in retirement. Only a few years before reaching 60 or 65 marked the end of life as it had been known; the years ahead were deemed to be grey, inactive and a slow decline into old age.

The launch of laterlife.com marked the radical changing point for all of this. Over 50? Over 60? Over 70? Life can still offer fun, rewards – the whole gambit of a full and happy life and Tony was determined to encourage everyone to take full advantage of everything that was on offer.

Running popular and informative retirement workshops around the country, both for companies and also for individuals, Laterlife has helped path the way from full time work to a senior lifestyle for thousands of men and women. Backing this endeavor is this online magazine Laterlife…providing fun, useful and interesting information specially geared for our age group.

Being over 50 has never been more fun, and it is great that laterlife.com is continuing to help everyone make the most of their retirement years.

A very happy birthday indeed laterlife.com!
