Knowhow No. 14

If you've upgraded your PC to Windows 10 - not performed a clean install, but an upgrade, and want to revert to your previous operating system - there is an easy way to do this.

Want to Roll Back to your Previous Operating System?

The Knowhow

To revert to the previous version, open the Start menu and select Settings.

Click the "Update & security" icon.

Then select "Recovery."

You should see a "Go back to Windows 7" or "Go back to Windows 8.1" option. Click the Get started button to roll back to your previous Windows install. Note that this option is only available for 28 days after upgrading.

After a few moments you will be asked for a reason why you are going back to a previous version. Pick any option and press Next.

Your Computer will then begin the process of reverting back to your previous version of Windows. This may take some time.
