New computer cushion from back support specialistsJune 2007
NEW COMPUTER CUSHION FROM BACK SUPPORT SPECIALISTS
Well, yes it can. The British Chiropractic Association
has warned that slouching in front of a computer can set you up
for a lifetime of back pain. With a third of all adults
suffering chronic back pain at some stage in their lives, those
with entirely sedentary jobs are equally as likely to fall
victim as any heavy manual labourer. The problem is that the
human body is not designed to remain sitting still for long
periods of time.
Nowadays, it’s not just secretarial types and data entry
clerks that suffer from back pain from sitting too long
hours at their desks. With everyone from students to senior
executives highly dependent on their computers for information
and communication, back pain can strike regardless of status.
