Why do older women need makeup made just for them?

In October 2013, I started a company, Look Fabulous Forever offering makeup specifically formulated for older faces, eyes and lips. Why would I do this?
Because I was finding it increasingly difficult to find makeup that worked on my 65 year old face, and because I was really fed up with being ignored by the beauty industry. Since then, LFF has experienced the most phenomenal success because older women all over the world have responded very positively to our pro-age message, video tutorials on You Tube and our fabulous makeup.

So, every month I will be offering my beauty tips so that you too can be ‘fabulous forever.’ As this is my first post, I thought I would answer the question I am most often asked: Why do older women need makeup made just for them? The answer is simple. After the menopause everything changes on the face. Older skin is more like blotting paper than the smooth surface of younger skins. So makeup tends to disappear really quickly as it sinks quickly into drier and more absorbent surface. Also, anywhere you want a sharp line (edges of the lips or as an eyeliner), you cannot achieve it because the lines become fuzzy and blurred.

The solution to these problems is to apply face, eye and lip primers. Many older women don't know about these wonderful products, but I can promise you that you will be amazed at the way they work to make your makeup look smoother and prettier. Face Prime can be mixed with foundation to hold the makeup in place for hours or used under the base. Eye Prime neutralises any discolouration on the lid (a common problem) and allows eye makeup to look cleaner and sharper. Lip Prime applied to the edges of the lips stops lipstick feathering and bleeding due to fine lines around the mouth. We have a collection of all three primers priced £45 (RRP £53).

We are offering Laterlife subscribers a special introductory offer – 10% off and free postage (worldwide) when you spend over £50. Just use code laterlife at checkout.
