laterlife.com supports the Beating
Bowel Cancer Campaign
Loud
Tie Campaign, now in its sixth year, is a national campaign raising
awareness and funds for Beating Bowel Cancer.
The Campaign takes place during the
week of 31st January to 4th February 2005 and people across the UK
will sport their Loudest Ties and Wackiest Neckwear, whilst raising
money for an excellent cause.
Bowel cancer is the UK’s second biggest cancer killer and
claims 45 lives every day. It affects men and women equally, young and
old. However, it is the most curable of all cancers if diagnosed and
treated successfully in time. |
|
This year the Loud Tie Campaign will be encouraging people to
talk out Loud about bowel cancer, to increase the profile of this
disease and in particular to support the open access to the latest
bowel cancer treatments for everyone, regardless of where they live or
ability to pay.
In short, it hopes to give bowel cancer the attention it deserves and
put "bottoms" on the map!
