Now available from Strike Force Entertainment is BRITAIN’S RAILWAYS: THE GOLDEN AGE OF THE BIG FOUR 1923-1939, a definitive all archive documentary running over 100 minutes and charting the operation of Britain’s rail networks between the years 1920 and 1939.
The Railway Act of 1921 was conceived to stem the losses made by many of the country’s 120 railway companies through unnecessary competition and to retain some of the benefits which the country had derived from a government-controlled railway during the First World War. It was the Railway Act of 1921 which lead to the integration of Britain’s ‘Big Four’ railway networks; The Great Western Railway, the Southern Railway, the London Midland and Scottish Railway and the London and North Eastern Railway.

The DVD also includes features on other train companies such as LMS Royal Scott Class, LNER B17 Class, LMS Patriot Class, LMS Black 5 Class and the ‘Streamlined’ Locomotives of the GWR, LNER and LMS amongst many more!
