March of The Dinosaurs
Prepare to embark on a prehistoric adventure of epic proportions in March of the
Dinosaurs, released by FremantleMedia Enterprises on DVD and Blu - ray on 27th
June and produced by Wide-Eyed Productions, creators of “Prehistoric Park” and
“Walking with Dinosaurs”.
Narrated by Stephen Fry and based on the very latest scientific discoveries, March
of the Dinosaurs will receive its TV premiere in the prime time family viewing slot on
ITV1 on Easter Saturday.
A genuinely new evolution in dinosaur films, March of the Dinosaurs transports the
viewer back 70 million years to tell the dramatic tale of a young Edmontosaurus,
called Scar, as he faces a potentially deadly challenge: a 1,000 mile migration to
escape the arrival of a four-month arctic winter of continuous night.
This epic feature-length adventure portrays an incredible polar odyssey that actually
happened but has never been witnessed before. Based on recent fossil evidence
blasted out of the ice around the North Pole, the makers of “Walking with Dinosaurs”
and “Prehistoric Park” are delighted to introduce you to an all-new cast of dinosaurs,
from feathered tyrannosaurs to giant marine predators. Featuring stunning
animation and a painstakingly recreated digital world, it can truly be said that the
dinosaur film has evolved.
March of the Dinosaurs combines state-of-the-art cinematic photo-real 3D graphics
and leading-edge anatomy and palaeontology to reveal what these prehistoric
beasts looked like, how they lived, and what eventually caused their extinction. The
DVD and blu-ray, with 5.1 surround sound and a host of extras including a behind
the scenes feature and downloadable creature fact files, is set to become a favourite
that the whole family will want to rediscover again and again.
