Joel Fleishman misunderstands the terms
of his scholarship agreement after graduating from medical college,
leaving him no choice but to move to the remote and eccentric town
of Cicely, in the wilds of Alaska. Grudgingly, he comes to know the
peculiar locals and eventually finds that they aren’t as backward
and intolerable as he originally thought! His comical ‘fish out of
water’ experiences are both entertaining and heart-felt, making for
a series of amusing and well-told stories.
The collection includes six discs, in three separate DVD cases,
decorated with pictures from the series. The DVDs also contain
deleted or extended features.
