Fred Astaire trips the light fantastic in his trademark top hat
and tails opposite Rita Hayworth in You’ll Never Get Rich (1941)
and You Were Never Lovelier (1942). Fred sings and swirls his
most famous onscreen partner Ginger Rogers in Top Hat (1935) and
Swing Time (1936).
SCREEN LEGENDS STARRING BING CROSBY
Bing Crosby’s mellow tones and jazz icon Louis Armstrong co-star
in Pennies From Heaven (1936). Crosby doubles up with Bob Hope
on the Road To Zanzibar (1941). Bing sashays with Fred Astaire
in Holiday Inn (1942) and is on Oscar-winning® form, collecting
a Best Actor gong for Going My Way (1944).
SCREEN LEGENDS STARRING CARY GRANT
Bristol’s favourite son and Irene Dunne star in the screwball
classic The Awful Truth (1937). Grant battles wits with
Katharine Hepburn in Holiday (1938) and Bringing Up Baby (1938).
Father Goose (1964) is available on DVD for the first time.

Redford and Barbara Streisand discover opposites attract in The
Way We Were (1973). He and Paul Newman are irresistible in The
Sting (1973) and with Glenn Close and Kim Basinger in baseball
drama The Natural (1984). Meryl Streep and Redford are Out Of
Africa (1985).

Hollywood’s beloved everyman broke through as Mr Smith Goes To
Washington (1939). He excelled in Frank Capra’s It’s A Wonderful
Life (1946) and was transformed by Alfred Hitchcock in Rear
Window (1954). He starred opposite an invisible six-foot rabbit
in Harvey (1950).
SCREEN LEGENDS STARRING JAMES STEWART, WESTERNS
Stewart tackles the formidable Marlene Dietrich in Destry Rides
Again (1939). He is the The Man From Laramie (1955) and John
Ford directed Stewart and Richard Widmark in Two Rode Together
(1961). He plays a farmer caught in the US civil war in
Shenandoah (1965).
SCREEN LEGENDS STARRING ORSON WELLES
Welles starred in, directed, produced and co-wrote the evergreen
masterpiece Citizen Kane (1941). He starred opposite his ex-wife
Rita Hayworth in film noir The Lady From Shanghai (1947). He
dominates both A Man For All Seasons (1966) and Waterloo (1970).

entrants must be aged over 18. Only 1 entry is allowed per person/email address. Entries
must be received by the 30th June 2006. The winner will be
drawn at random from all correct entries received by laterlife.com during the term of the
