THE LAKES SERIES TWO AVAILABLE ON DVD SINCE 28th MARCH 2011
 Rory McGrath returns to The Lakes, to take a further look at life in one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations as The Lakes Series 2 comes to DVD from 28th March 2011, courtesy of ITV STUDIOS Home Entertainment.
The second instalment of the DVD series takes the viewer back to the glorious Lake District to explore its awe-inspiring surroundings and the unique people who inhabit it.
The dramatic landscape and illustrious history of the Lake District continues to attract large numbers of visitors and keen literary enthusiasts year upon year, all of whom take away a unique experience. It’s not hard to see why people continue to make the journey to this inspirational place; with its 16 lakes and wild scenery it has inspired poets and literary writers alike, championing such names as Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth.
Series 1 introduced us to the unique culture of the Lake District and now, returning to the area once more, Series 2 explores more of the wonderful people, beautiful mountainous scenery and the local events and traditions that make the Lake District so richly diverse. From bag-making couples to micro-pig breeding farmers, Series 2 paints an even richer portrait of life in one of Britain’s most glorious places.
Inspired by the stories of the agrarian lifestyle of Millican Dalton, Jorrit and Nicky Jorritsmer have relocated to the Lake District and are developing their own brand of unique backpacks, while the Langdale Chase Hotel has ghostly goings-on, and Rory visits the Windermere Airshow.

The draw is open to UK residents only and
entrants must be aged over 18. Only 1 entry is allowed per person/email address. Entries
must be received by midnight on the 30th April 2011. The winner will be
drawn at random from all correct entries received by laterlife.com during the term of the
competition. No correspondence will be entered into. laterlife.com accepts no
responsibility for any entries or other communications that are late, incomplete, unintelligible, misdirected,
lost due to disconnection, telephone systems or computer equipment or software failure or
data loss. The winners will be notified personally by email, to the email address provided
in the entry, within one week from the closing date. No cash alternative is
available and the prize is not transferable. Prizes must be claimed by 1
month after notification. Winners names may be published on the
website. Submission of an entry will be taken as acceptance of the rules. Please note the competition
