 Snoring
is bad for relationships. A recent survey showed that 48% of people
admit that snoring has ruined their holidays, with 6% having had their
holidays completed wrecked, often resulting in arguments with both the
snorer and the snorer's sleeping partner.
The survey, conducted by the British Snoring
& Sleep Apnoea Association (BSSAA), reveals the extreme tactics some
holidaymakers employ to escape the snoring, with 23% admitting to sleeping
on the balcony and 20% sleeping in the bathroom to avoid the sounds! It's no
surprise then that the emotion that dominates the mood of 74% of people who
holiday with snorers, is anger!
A snoring partner has driven 11% of people to book two separate rooms,
making that search for peace and quiet an extremely costly one! A further
30% would book a separate room if they could. Sadly, 51% of snorers have
taken no action at all to minimize their snoring.

Of those surveyed, the following was
revealed….

rooms because of snoring

44% of people would use earplugs if snoring
became a problem whilst they were on holiday

23% would sleep on the balcony

20% would sleep in the bathroom

74% claimed snoring made them feel angry,
whilst 51% claimed it made them feel guilty
-
29% claimed snoring made them feel
helplessness whilst 23% claimed it made them feel hatred
-
51% of snorers have not sought assistance for
their affliction whilst 33% have tried to find an anti snoring device but
are yet to find something that works
-
32% of people try to avoid sharing a room with
a snorer
