For the second year running,
the British Gas/Scottish Gas/Help the Aged Partnership is running an
exciting, month long programme from 1st - 30th June
providing literally hundreds of offers and concessions for anyone of
retirement age or over (although some are applicable to those over 50).
The offers include concessions on rail and bus travel across the country,
and reduced price entrance to famous and historical attractions such as
houses and gardens, castles, theatres and museums.
Some 50,000 older people participated in the event
last year. Were you one of
them? If not, don’t let
another year go by without getting involved. This year, Stepping
Out is aiming to double
last year’s participation figures and reach the goal of getting one
million older people out and about.
So how does a stroll around an English Heritage
property sound? Or maybe a
trip to the theatre or a visit to the Scotch Whiskey Heritage Centre in
Scotland? And if you want to make a weekend of it, there is discounted
hotel accommodation on offer as well.
