Tena Zest for Life Bursary

 September 2005
Amazon book - complete family health guide

This autumn sees the launch of a new and aspirational campaign
called the TENA Zest for Life Bursary.

With a limited number of bursaries up for grabs, it will appeal to women and men harbouring a passion to fulfil a life-long goal like writing a novel or climbing a Himalayan Peak.

Underpinning the campaign is the slogan ‘it’s never too late’, which speaks to the one in four women and men of all ages who experience bladder weakness in the UK, but refuse to let it put their lives on hold. TENA believes it’s something that can be easily managed with a little help!

The TENA Zest for Life Bursary aims to champion
people’s burning ambitions, showing it’s never too late to bring a desired dream to life. These days there’s no limit to what anyone can achieve and no age barriers either, which is why TENA is putting people’s vitality, zeal and passion to the ultimate test.

The TENA Zest for Life Bursary is looking for women and men with a clear plan and budget, which can show an obvious commitment and aptitude for their area of interest. There are bursaries up to ?4,000 available, so entrants will need to prove that funding is essential to getting their project off the ground.

In 2004, a pilot run of the TENA Zest for Life Bursary
supported the female comedy trio Mutton, whose sketches poke fun at the trials and tribulations of reaching ‘middle age’. It gave Mutton the opportunity to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2004 and they continue to perform to packed theatres up and down the country. Mutton says, “For most women, approaching a certain age can be a daunting prospect but we decided to seize the moment. We all had a lifelong ambition to write comedy sketches after years of juggling careers, children and our husbands. Winning the TENA Zest for Life Bursary helped to open a new chapter in our lives.”

TENA is working hard to help destigmatise bladder weakness and show women and men that the condition doesn’t have to change their lives. TENA offers a variety of bladder weakness products, which give both women and men the freedom to enjoy their daily routine without worrying about the threat of bladder weakness.

In 2004 TENA launched the National Continence Check-up
in conjunction with The Continence Foundation, InContact and Dr. Chris Steele (GP and resident doctor on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ programme) to increase the dialogue between pharmacists and their customers.
