Local
Access Forum
The Countryside and
Rights of Way Act 2000 set the seal on the Freedom to Roam law, though
maps won’t be available till 2005. But
the Act also established Local Access Forums, to be set up by highway and
national park authorities to advise and improve on public access.
Members of the public
will have a chance to participate in these forums.
If you want to get involved, you need to contact the Area access
officer through the Ramblers Association freedom to roam team on 020 7339
8568 or in Wales 01978 855148.
