Welcome to the motoring section. This section is edited by Barry Martin, a lifelong motor enthusiast who has decided to re-engage with his passion after his retirement from a lifetime of working in construction and plant hire.
In this section I hope to share with you my enthusiasm, not only for the latest technology on offer, but also for the best (and sometimes the worst!) of what the past had to offer. I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I have in writing....

Barry says " I am a child of the fifties, and as such remember the austerity of those times and the "make do and mend" mindset that we all had to have. Five decades on after buying my first motorcycle, a Francis Barnett Plover for three quid, and after a reasonably successful career in construction, I am in a slightly better situation, in that I have more time (and a little more money) to indulge my passion for all things motorised.
