There’s
nowhere in the world quite like
Just
what is it that gives the area its unique charm? Well, the
answer’s rather contrary. It’s a lovely place to be now because,
quite frankly, many hundreds of years ago, it wasn’t. The clue
lies in the name Borderlands – home in the past to some of the
bitterest skirmishes these islands have ever seen.

of swanky bistros, or you can sample the farmer’s market in
Ruthin. Or why not find a sleepy old drover’s inn in the Ceiriog
Valley and tuck into local produce fresh from the hills and
streams all around you?

see the Yale (university) family grave in Wrexham and catch an
opera at Clwyd Theatre Cymru in Mold. And you can bed down for
the night in a trendy designer hotel or a traditional old Welsh
farmhouse – as we said, it’s all about choices!
