Travel and Holidays in laterlife is edited by award winning travel
writers , broadcasters and photographers Hugh Taylor and Moira McCrossan.
Travel and Holidays in laterlife aims to be a comprehensive guide to
a wide variety of holiday cities and regions through-out the UK,
Europe and to many long-haul destinations in Asia, Africa and the
Americas.
In each case, Hugh and Moira draw upon their extensive experience to provide a
personalized over-50s view of each destination. The essence is to
capture the flavour of the location, so it's easy to decide "Is that
for me?"
Each page follows a standard format (see below) to make it easy to
find the information you want. In addition each page provides a link
to the holiday offers section.

Hugh Taylor is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, the
Society of Antiquaries (Scotland) and a member of the British Guild
of Travel Writers, Writers and Photographers Unlimited, Outdoor
Writers and Photographers Guild, The Society of Authors and the
National Union of Journalists.
His extensive broadcast experience includes writing, producing
and presenting ‘Pinkerton’ (a documentary on the founding of the
Pinkerton Detective Agency) for BBC Radio Scotland and producing
several specialist music/travel series for BBC Radio 2.
He and his wife, Moira McCrossan have written or contributed to
over forty travel guide books, including the best selling AA Spiral
Guide to Scotland which has been translated into several languages and the Scottish section of Dorling Kindersley's coffee table book Travel - Where To Go When.
Their guidebooks include Globetrotter Jordan, Globetrotter Best of Cancun and Yucatan, Globetrotter Lebanon and the section on Nile Cruising for the Dorling Kindersley Eyewitness Guide to Egypt. They also contribute to and update city and country guides for North Star, who provide up to the minute guides for travel agents.
Their travel features have appeared in a wide variety of newspapers
and magazines in the UK and abroad including Choice, Real Holidays,
The Lady, Scots Magazine and Interval World.
Hugh is currently City Expert on Cancun, Cozumel and Mayan Riviera for
www.homeandabroad.com and tutors on the NUJ Travel Writing course.
